This is my second original song. It took a while to complete, and I had to fight my perfectionistic impulses to get it out the door. In total, I was working on it for about a month or so.
As you will see (hear), it turned into quite an epic 🙂 It’s over 6 minutes long and consists of a few different parts. I’m pretty happy with the result, and I hope you are too. (And, by the way, the song doesn’t end after the first fade-out!)
UPDATE: I ended up continuing to add to this song after putting it up. There’s now a new version with more going on the the second half. Also, check out this feedback thread at ultimate-guitar.com.

[…] Though the time has passed quickly, a lot has changed. Indeed, I’ve changed. I’ve written quite a bit, and I’m getting closer to understanding my writing interests (and non-interests). I’ve spent countless hours (well, about 25 a week, so 800+) practicing guitar and studying music, and I’ve learned a huge amount. I’m beginning to see myself as a “real” musician. Even a year ago, writing and recording music seemed daunting. Now I’m finished with my second song. […]

I’m seeing a style developing. I like this one more than the first. It seems more matured and more subtle.
How many hours do these take to make?

Thanks for yo’ comment. Indeed, I did put more care into creating this one — the first was really just a “ditty.”
I spent quite a while working on this one, though most of it was in the recording process. Things should go faster once I get the hang of it. Some parts of this song ended up being a bit too simple and “linear” for my liking, so I’m thinking about adding a little more to it.
